Dear clients, dear partners of MEDIA CONSULTA, I’m happy to present the first edition of our newsletter “MC News”. Every other month, it will be published to keep you up-to-date on new offers and recent developments within our international, integrated communications network.
This year MEDIA CONSULTA has undergone an expansion process intended to provide you with a better service. Ten new employees and two more creative directors have bolstered our already strong creative team. Furthermore, we have improved our strategic planning by recruiting three experts in strategic brand communication.
MEDIA CONSULTA’s uniquely international nature and integrated position mean that we look into the economically uncertain future from a position of stability and strength and remain a trustworthy partner with whom to do business. The “MC News” informs you about the new services MEDIA CONSULTA has to offer – be it for national or international communication strategies or for the regional services of our 56 branches.

Official launch of I COLONIALI and Ferrari UomoMC has been given overall responsibility for overseeing all PR activity for the worldwide launch of the new fragrance, Ferrari Uomo, and the care product I COLONIALI, produced by ars-Parfum Creation & Consulting GmbH. Since February, MC has organised showrooms in Hamburg and Munich in order to promote the product launch of I COLONIALI and Ferrari Uomo. Health and lifestyle press were invited and in addition to receiving product information, they had the opportunity to enjoy a relaxation massage with I COLONIALI products, as well as take part in a test run of a Ferrari. Since May numerous features have been published in relevant magazines. The campaign will last till August.
MC presented EASA at the 100th International Paris Air ShowThe European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) chose MEDIA CONSULTA to prepare every element of their presentation at the largest worldwide aviation show. At the 100th anniversary of the traditional Parisian exhibition at the airport of Le Bourget, the EASA explained its mission to establish and control the highest worldwide safety standards in civil aviation. MC was responsible for the assembly and dismantling of two booths for EASA as well as all other logistics and technicalities, such as catering. As a special eye-catcher, visitors could see a large luminous EASA branded balloon produced especially for the occasion by MC. Since the beginning of the year, MC Event holds the EASA’s event budget for two years.
MC organised citizens festival for the 60th anniversary of the Federal Republic of GermanyFor the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government of Germany (BPA), MEDIA CONSULTA organised the official celebrations on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Federal Republic of Germany. On a 1,2 km long festival mile starting from the Brandenburg Gate, the citizens could celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Federal Republic and inform themselves about the work of the Federal Ministries, the Federal Parliament, the Federal Council, the Federal Constitutional Court, the Federal States as well as social organisations. On a double platform, Thomas Gottschalk, Sandra Maischberger and further hosts talked to prominent guests including Hans-Dietrich Genscher, Alice Schwarzer and Boris Becker. Berlin’s State Orchestra performed Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy“ under the direction of Daniel Barenboim. Among others, Udo Jürgens, PUR, Otto and The BossHoss heated up the atmosphere.

Date: 13-15 July 2009, Livingstone/ZambiaSymposium on Regional Aviation Safety Agencies (RASA) Client: EASA MC contact person: Anne Rübsam The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) will rely on MC for its presentation at the Symposium on Regional Aviation Safety Agencies (RASA) from 13 to 15 July in Livingstone, Zambia. MC will, on behalf of the EASA, be responsible for the technical equipment in the conference rooms and for the catering. The purpose of the meeting is to strengthen the partnership of the EASA with African aviation safety agencies and to increase aviation safety in Africa. In co-operation with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the EASA and the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) have organised the symposium. Since the beginning of the year, MC holds the EASA’s event budget for two years. The international agency network is responsible for the conception and implementation of pan-European conferences, expositions and seminars.

MC has again risen in the rankings; with a turnover of more than €34 million in the field of public relations last year, MC has been able to ensure its second place among the largest German PR agencies (Source: PR-Journal). MC has done especially well in the live communication rankings; MEDIA CONSULTA Event has shot up to 8th place, from 25th place in the previous year. With an income of €6.7 million in the field of live communication, MC has seen a 116 percent increase in turnover (Source: W&V). With an overall turnover of €64.7 million, MC is the third largest independent German advertising agency.
